The city of Holladay, is a partner of the Unified Police Department (UPD), receiving all of its police services through this partnership. The UPD has provided law enforcement services to this community for over 160 years.

The Unified Police Department (UPD), under the guidance of Chief Mazuran and the Board of Directors, is constantly reviewing and updating policies and training. The Midvale precinct consists of 1 chief, 1 lieutenant, 7 sergeants, 1 property crimes detective, 6 shelter resource officers, 3 directed enforcement detectives, 2 traffic/motor officers, 1 code enforcement officer and 22 patrol officers.

The Unified Police Department (UPD) was established in 2009 to provide law enforcement services throughout Salt Lake County to communities that do not operate their own police departments.

Unified Police Department proudly serves many communities on the west side of Salt Lake County. The Magna Precinct oversees patrol operations in Magna and Copperton, in addition to the services provided, members of the community also enjoy the benefits of being able to call upon all members of the unified police department including the pooled resources.

For those interested in a career in law enforcement, the Los Angeles School Police Department (LASPD) is continuously recruiting for its Explorer Program. Meetings are held weekly at various locations, including LASPD Headquarters, Wilson High School (Region East), Gardena High School (South Region), and Kennedy High School (North Region). The Los Angeles Unified School District has updated its emergency protocols. The City of Holladay and the Holladay precinct enjoy an excellent working relationship.

The UPD provides all financial and HR management resources under the direction of the Board of Directors. The Unified Police Department Special Operations Division is staffed with 230 regular and substitute crossing guards for 67 area schools in canyons, and granite school districts. These schools are located within Millcreek City, Holladay City, Midvale City, City of Kearns and Magna City, through a contract agreement with the UPD.
